When getting married, there’s a lot to learn in little time. I have found that clients share some of the same questions, so I thought this may be a helpful start:
Do I need a coordinator/planner?
A great coordinator will be invaluable to you if it is in your budget and we always recommend getting a little help from a professional. We would love to give you a list of recommendations if you would like.
Where are you located?
LB Floral is a wedding/event professional, so like your DJ, Caterer or Photographer, we do not have a retail side to our business therefore we do not have a retail store with set hours. We focus on weddings and events, so we are open when you make an appointment with us for a consultation. Once you have an appointment with us, we will send you detailed directions to our studio.
What are your hours?
We do not have a retail side to our business therefore we do not have a retail store with set hours.
What services do you provide?
Fresh flowers for weddings, events, small parties and sympathy work. We do not do daily deliveries or single arrangements. LB Floral offers vast rentals of floral containers and arches for our clients. We are not a rental company, however, our items are exclusive to our clients.
How much do flowers cost?
Well, that is such a wonderfully difficult question to answer! The reason it is wonderful is because it all depends on what YOU want. Peonies or roses? Filler flowers? A little greenery or a lot? The make-up, size and style can all affect price. Lastly, how many? (bridesmaids, corsages, boutonnieres, centerpieces etc.) As you can see, there isn’t a way to answer this question easily. We do offer an express package, in 3 tiers, for a complete wedding starting at $495.
How do I make an appointment?
Simply email at Lesley@lbfloral.com or call 865.313.3404. Sometimes a quick call will speed the process along instead of multiple emails to find the right date, but it is up to you.
Do you have a minimum order?
We have an express package that starts at $495 for a complete wedding with preset flower types, quantities and does not include a consultation. For most brides, they opt for a traditional experience of selecting the flower types and styling. The minimum is $1,200 for the floral pieces, in addition to other tax and services.
Are you permitted to be my florist at my venue?
To our knowledge, there is only 1 venue in Knox, Blount, Loudon, Hamblen and Jefferson County that have 1 florist that they use exclusively. Even venues that have in-house florists will allow you to use an outside florist of your choosing if you ask.
Do you deliver?
Yes, we deliver, set up and come back at the end of the night for pick up.
Do you have rentals like vases, arches, lanterns, candelabras, LED candles, urns?
Oh yes, a lot of styles in every color/size including metallic.
Do you come back to pick up the rentals at the end of the night?
Can I give you my containers to use for my flowers?
Absolutely! Please bring them to your initial consultation so we can evaluate and give you an accurate quote based on size. If you do not have them at that point, we can estimate and then reevaluate at the final review.
Can I do some of my flowers myself?
We feel that clients come to us with a vision of what they want for their wedding and to ensure we execute that vision, it is best to have only 1 person creating the floral design. Other reasons we ask to be the sole designer are sometimes the supplemented work is not completed timely, which on the wedding day, can be crucial for the photographer to get the shots that the bride has requested. The work may not reflect the style or quality of our work or mechanics. The venue, photographer or other wedding professionals on site may be unaware that that component was not done by LB Floral and may give us a bad reputation for being late, sloppy or leaving the venue messy. Many times, the same flowers are not ordered or they are ordered in different shades and do not match. If you feel you need to add to your order yourself; baby’s breath, petals, white flowers and greenery are perfectly fine for DIY.
What can I expect as a bride?
LB Floral offers a 1-hour free consultation to create your vision and quote. Bring your pictures, Pinterest, and budget. We will try to make suggestions to meet your vision and budget. We require a contract and deposit to book us as your florist. 50% is due 90 days out from the wedding date. We will meet again 30-45 days out from the wedding date to finalize the order where the balance will be due.
Can I pick up my floral order instead of delivery?
Absolutely! It must be the date of the wedding to ensure freshness. We will package the order in an easy to transport box and help you load your vehicle.
How early should I book my florist?
It is best to call a florist as early as possible. Most brides book around 9 months to a year in advance.
